BrainSavers

FAQ's

Who should be using the BrainSavers program?

Anyone who wants to keep his or her mind in top shape or perhaps feels concerned about age-associated memory loss or other cognitive decline.

Is it scientifically proven that BrainSavers can improve cognitive skills?

There are many research publications about the effectiveness of cognitive improvement and risk reduction for Alzheimer’s disease from specific nutritional, cognitive and physical exercise components – all contained in the BrainSavers program. A recently completed trial of the BrainSavers program demonstrated benefit.  Additional independent studies of the software component have also shown cognitive improvement.

Is it necessary to train in the presence or under the supervision of a physical trainer or other professional?

The program was designed to be user-friendly and interactive.  You can train in the comfort and privacy of your own home or in a group setting (i.e. senior center, assisted living facility, fitness center) without any outside supervision.

Does BrainSavers prevent Alzheimer's, dementia or Parkinson's?

A large body of medical and scientific data document that building brain reserve through regular cognitive activities, aerobic physical exercise, and a brain-healthy diet reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Regular training with this program as part of a brain-healthy lifestyle is important for peak memory performance.

Can training with the BrainSavers CD mask or hide an illness related to cognitive deterioration?

The program was developed for healthy adults concerned about retaining optimal memory and other cognitive performance. It is sensitive enough to detect small changes in cognitive functioning, but it is not a diagnostic test.  BrainSavers recommends you see your physician about any specific memory or other medical issues.

Can I buy a license for several users?

Yes, but a separate personal code must be assigned for each user.

Why does the fat content seem high in the bars?

The fat is necessary because it is the carrier for the naturally matrix Vitamin E in the bars. It is important to use this natural matrix Vitamin E because Vitamin E supplements have just not proven effective for cognitive performance as compared to natural matrix Vitamin E. The bars have been designed however, so that the fat content is primarily unsaturated, which means that they are “good for you fats”.
